Hello to one and all -

Aud and I have no idea who reads this little collection of horse-poo scribblings - but what the heck. Australia was summed up fully for me tonight as I had a fever and was reading the news on the net.

Here is the article.... ;-D LOL

Man caught with penis in pasta jar ... near Nobbys Beach

A man caught near Nobbys Beach with his penis in a pasta sauce jar led police on a 20 kmh car chase, Newcastle Local Court heard yesterday.

Police drew their weapons when they suspected Keith Roy Weatherley, 46, was armed.

Instead, they found him partially clothed with his genitals in a jar, a police statement said.

Weatherley, of Promontory Way, North Arm Cove, attracted attention parked in a no-stopping zone before noon on October 26.

Police believed Weatherley was doing something with his hands in his lap and thought that he might have a weapon.

Weatherley saw the police and drove away, despite them flashing their lights.

The chase lasted five to 10 minutes, with a top speed of just 20 kmh, before Weatherley was stopped at Centenary Drive, Newcastle. He refused to leave the car.

Four officers used batons and capsicum spray to remove him.

They found a 750-millilitre jar around his penis and noted that Weatherley attempted to continue "pleasuring himself in between bouts of wrestling".

A search of his car uncovered pornography, a home-made sex aid, women's stockings and a Jack Russell terrier.

Weatherley pleaded guilty to offensive behaviour, resisting police and disobeying a police direction.

Magistrate Elaine Truscott asked Weatherley, who represented himself, why he behaved the way he did.

He said he resisted police because he was trying to make himself "decent".

He was fined $600 for offensive behaviour and convicted of the other two offences without further action taken.

Last year I ranted not this time

This year on St Patricks Day, unlike last year, I did remember to wear green and Jack has a green free day for charity and he is also doing his weekly talk so he is going to talk about Ireland. He is all dressed in his Irish shirt, tall green hat and badge. We received a parcel from Ireland last night in the middle of huge storm, with water coming under the garage door and yet the St Paddys day and easter treats were still dry- thats the luck of the Irish for you.

We were at a friends wedding on Saturday in Noosaville (Sunshine coast) - a civil cermony in a rented mansion (well a really big and swanky house) and a reception on a floating restaurant with fish and chips served in noodle boxes and a poffiterol tower for the cake. There was one drama though cos the house was rented for the occassion and lots of cars appeared a neighbour called up the owner and she turned up guns blazing threatening all sorts of legal action. Luckily the ceremony had finished and we were all leaving to go to the reception anyway and one of the guests was a policewoman or lawyer or something and negiotated it all back to sanity. Darren and Kat were able to laugh about it - well after a few drinks anyway.

And Jack, while we were travelling along the coast, was staying on a yacht - we were not allowed to bring Jack to the wedding and we don't know anyone well enough to ask so we took a chance and emailed Jacks class list - we actually ended up with a few offers which was so generous and nice - so from 12.30 saturday till 12noon on Sunday Jack was having a ball with his friend Charles. We met up with Charles parents and family and had lunch together on Sunday so a lovely lazy Sunday afternoon and a lovely family - weird the way it works out from not knowing someone - we didnt meet till we dropped Jack off to spending the afternoon chatting away only the next day.

So Happy St Patricks day to you all and my lesson this week - its never too late to just take a chance and see the results...a happy child and some happy parents and perhaps some new friends.

Copy cat and how time flies

Jack and I are now in Australia 2 years - last Thursday in fact - I was aware of it and had planned to mark the occasion in some way but it just didn't happen. Is that significant or just indicative of getting on with life.

I think it is the latter.

Although in our heart of hearts we do see ourselves going back to the UK in the future, there is no absolute guarantee of that so on Saturday we went to the open day of one of the high schools - not only are they expensive, each seems to have a slant towards a certain subject or theme - this one leaned towards drama and music. However in the science lab they were making ice cream with liquid nitrogen and cream so Jack felt it was the best thing. But we have other schools to look at over the coming year and then we have to get his name down on a list or two. Only 6, well nearly 7 and we already have to think what he might want, need when he is 11?

Because of the open day Jack missed out on going back to his swimming lesson so on Sunday as a family we spent the afternoon having a laugh at the local pool and then while Jim has a powernap Jack did his project book and I did some cross stitch - how very civilised :-)

There was one bit of bad news - not to be outdone by Jack - my Dad broke his left wrist at work - 6 weeks in plaster. So we wish him well - Jacks reaction was lovely - "oh that's terrible - what colour plaster did he get? " He! He! He!

And its only Wednesday...

We have had a busy few days....

After an early drop off at the airport - Sally and Jacob and Jay are now in Tasmania, loving it;

We went to a initimate wedding on Saturday, so small and private that they havent even told the people they work with, but it was an honour to be their witnesses, so congrats J&C and during the dinner Jack drew a lovely picture of all the Ben 10 aliens - the perfect wedding gift which now hangs on their wall;

Jack helped 'clean up australia' on Sunday with the Joeys - pulling out old tyres (well helping), bottles and rubbish from the park and mangroves, Jim and I did our bit too by tidying up our house, well its in Australia....

And yesterday Jack got rid of his cast - hurrah - he had obviously been scratching it with a pencil but other black marks along his arm that its 100% fine. The doctor did say for him to take it easy with it for 6 weeks - yeah right - how are we going to get him to do that !!! But he can start back at swimming which he is delighted about.

And as I had to take half a day off anyway Jack had a friend round to play. They played really well and I would love to do it more often....we will see.

And at my work we filmed an email for gaining new clients - getting all modern with a viral email - looking forward to seeing it over the coming weeks.
