We have spent the weekend dealing with Jack being ill, we believe because of the shock of his broken arm but also hoping to get him back to school today in part because Jim is in deadlines and I had already had to take a few days off. So far there have been no calls so I can feel less guilty.
But how little our issues are when people we know face flooding in Cairns and raging fires in Melbourne. Our relations and friends are ok, thank goodness but it is heart breaking to hear the stories of all that people have lost- all that they have gone through.
Such a contrast of extremes across Australia and across the globe with snow back in Ireland and the UK.
So we wish everyone a safe Monday with a moment of reflection - to be grateful for what we have.
