I have just booked the coolest ( I think and hope) joint birthday present for my parents- it was Dads 60th last month and Mums 60th next month and so while they are here I wanted to do something special.
I have booked them a premium experience tour at the Sirromet winery- a private tour going through all aspects of the winery - sampling lots of different wines, getting the chance to ask any question they like followed by a special lunch - they are going to for instance make their desserts into a 60 with chocolate. They also get some special Sirromet wine to take home with them. It takes from 10.30 - 3.30 so I hope the first question Mum doesn't ask is about where they can smoke and that the 2nd question is why aren't we doing it with them - we hope that this will be something special for them to do together, and we just couldn't afford for us all to do - and can you imagine a 6 year old in a winery - no thanks - we will have a day out nearby at a national park.
Oh and the coolest thing too - it is booked for 31 December. So happy new year and happy birthday to them both.
We have Jims Dad 60th birthday present for next year sorted too but can't say what that is yet...he might actually log on and read this.
