Jack has had a busy few weeks - a sports day at school where he got a "good sport" ribbon for coming 4th in one of the races and having a great time. And next year if he can manage to look at where he is going and stop grinning at his Daddy while he runs, he might even do better :-)
The school had a carnival recently too and Jacks class, the other year 1's and the prep class did some wonderful songs about "chooks" (ie chickens) complete with headdress, and he proceeded to try out all the games of skill and win lots of bit of plastic the most annoying of which is a whistle - ahhhhhh!!!!
Next with our trip approaching we bought Jack a Nintendo DS with the Indiana Jones lego game - to say he likes it would be such an understatement. Rules about how much he could play it were discussed from the onset but I think we can hopefully say that our flight will be nice and quiet.
To complete one of Jacks lists of things to do we went to Dreamworld last Saturday - it is a mix between a zoo, a farm, a theme park and a television set. And thanks to some free tickets for us grown ups, thanks Di, the day didn't cost us the price of a house. We all had a laugh and got so soaked on the last few rides - we bought the photo from the log ride - it is soo funny.
Jack is now on holiday for two weeks - he is at vacation club - yesterday it was recycling day and he is making a crocodile, today it is ball and balloon day and tomorrow they all head off bowling so when his holidays are due to finish, we head off for three more weeks of holidays. But don't worry its not all DS play he has homework and a project to do while he is away.
It was Jacks cousins first birthday last month, happy birthday Jacob and yesterday we recieved some beautiful thank you paintings and photos from him. Jack is looking forward to playing with him again when we all meet up before the wedding in a few weeks.
On a separate issue - huge hugs to all of you that have a few things going on at the moment - you know who you are - we are far away but our thoughts are still with you and we look forward to giving you hugs in person real soon. Just need to mow the lawn, find someone to feed the fish, finish packing........... ;-)
